Matt Osborne - Founder and CIO, Altegris Clearing Solutions
Matt Osborne has more than 25 years of international business and financial market experience. As CIO of Altegris, he is responsible for product development and is co-portfolio manager of several Altegris mutual funds. He is a member of the Altegris Investment Committee, responsible for qualification, approval and ongoing review of all investment strategies and managers on the Altegris platform. Prior to Altegris, Matt was Director of Research for the Managed Investments Division of Man Financial with responsibility for manager selection and research. Previously, Matt had a 12-year career with a preeminent family office in his native New Zealand. In his role as Investment Manager, he was responsible for formulating investment policies and implementing a global asset allocation program that specialized in alternative investment strategies such as hedge funds and managed futures. He also gained significant trading expertise in foreign currencies, stocks, fixed income, global futures and options.
Ken McGuire- President and COO, Altegris Clearing Solutions
With more than 20 years of experience in developing and managing operating platforms in support of world-class alternative investment managers, Ken McGuire serves as President and COO of Altegris. Ken is responsible for Altegris’ operations, finance, technology, human resources, legal and compliance departments, and is a member of the Altegris Investment Committee. Since joining in 2009, Ken has taken Altegris through two acquisitions and brought a slate of new products from concepts to operational reality. Prior to joining Altegris, Ken served as Managing Director of Product Management for single manager hedge funds at BNY Mellon Alternative Investment Services. Ken’s first experience with alternative investments was at Goldman Sachs as part of the Hedge Fund Strategies Group, where he served as Co-Head of Operations, Finance, and Technology. He was also Chairman of the Operations Committee and a member of the Management Policy Committee. Ken entered the financial industry with Merrill Lynch in Capital Markets. Ken graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University with a BS in computer science/mathematics and received his MBA with a concentration in management from Adelphi University.
