Altegris Clearing Solutions is supported by the Altegris Research and Investment Solutions Group, a focused group of professionals within Altegris Advisors who provide ongoing alternative investments research, sourcing and evaluation support across all affiliated Altegris companies. This Research team works together through an intensive process to uncover what Altegris Clearing Solutions believes are best-of-breed managed futures managers to offer its client base.

Jack Rivkin- Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Strategist

As Chief Executive Officer, Jack Rivkin leads the strategic and day-to-day management of the Altegris companies. He is also Vice Chairman of the board of Altegris. In his role as Chief Investment Strategist, he provides insight and guidance to the Altegris Research and Investment Solutions Group, which has overall responsibility for identifying, selecting, and monitoring fund managers across multiple investment disciplines, and managing risk and asset allocation. He is Chairman of the Altegris Investment Committee. A respected thought leader, appearing in a variety of fora, Jack has held senior roles in the investment industry with Neuberger Berman, Citigroup Investments, and PaineWebber, among others. His managerial achievements have been featured in one of Harvard Business School’s most popular case studies, “Lehman Brothers: Rise of the Equity Research Department,” 2006. Jack began his investment career as an Analyst at Mitchell Hutchins, where he later became Director of Research. He subsequently held several executive positions with PaineWebber, the acquirer of Mitchell Hutchins, including CFO of PaineWebber, CEO of PaineWebber Mitchell Hutchins (PaineWebber’s equity trading and investment arm), Chairman of Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, and president of PaineWebber Capital. He later served as the director of global research and head of the Worldwide Equities Division of Lehman Brothers Inc. Following his time at Lehman Brothers, he was a Vice Chairman and Director of Global Research at Smith Barney (ultimately a subsidiary of Citigroup), and an Executive Vice President with Citigroup Investments making direct investments and leading an investment team. He was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Private Asset Management at Neuberger Berman and subsequently continued as a Trustee of the Neuberger mutual fund complex. He is an Executive Adviser with Aquiline Capital Partners. In addition to his direct experiences in the investment industry, Jack was an adjunct professor at Columbia University, where he taught security analysis. He is also the co-author of Risk and Reward: Venture Capital and the Making of America’s Great Industries. He has served as a Director of the New York Society of Security Analysts, the World Policy Institute, LEDA, multiple private companies, and currently, Idealab and Dale Carnegie. He earned his professional engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.


Eric Bundonis, CFA®- Portfolio Manager, Director of Research and Sourcing

Mr. Bundonis has served as Director of Research and Sourcing since November 2014. His responsibilities include portfolio management, manager sourcing, research, and due diligence across a wide variety of alternative strategies. Mr. Bundonis brings over 10 years of alternative investment experience. From February 2012 to November 2014, Mr. Bundonis served as Vice President, Co-Director of Research and Investments of the Adviser. From July 2009 to January 2012, Mr. Bundonis served as Vice President, Senior Research Analyst for Altegris. Prior to joining Altegris in 2009, Mr. Bundonis was an Associate at OneCapital Management Partners in New York. As a member of OneCapital's investment committee, Mr. Bundonis was responsible for identifying, selecting, and monitoring investments for multi-manager funds of hedge funds serving institutional and high-net-worth investors. Mr. Bundonis graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in history and attended the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Business at Columbia University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.


Edgardo Goldaracena, CFA®- Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst

Edgardo Goldaracena serves as Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst for Altegris Advisors. Edgardo joined Altegris in July 2012 and has over eight years of alternative investments experience. His responsibilities include portfolio management, manager sourcing, research and due diligence across a wide variety of alternative strategies. From March 2008 to June 2012, Edgardo was a Research Analyst at Albourne Partners where he conducted due diligence on hedge funds across various investment strategies and made investment recommendations for client portfolios. He was also responsible for monitoring new hedge fund launches and emerging managers in order to identify compelling investment opportunities. Previously, Edgardo was a Junior Analyst at Pictet Alternative Investments based in Geneva. Edgardo holds a BSBA in international business and economics from the University of Richmond and is a CFA® charterholder.


Antolin Garza- Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst

With over seven years of industry experience, Antolin Garza serves as Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst for Altegris Advisors. His responsibilities include portfolio management, manager sourcing, research, and due diligence across a wide variety of alternative investment strategies. Antolin has worked at Altegris since 2012, and has previously served as Associate Vice President, Senior Research Analyst and Research Analyst for Altegris Advisors. Prior to joining Altegris, Antolin served as Research Analyst, Hedge Funds at New England Pension Consultants (NEPC) from December 2010 to November 2012. As a member of the NEPC hedge fund research team, he was responsible for performing due diligence on credit-oriented and fund of hedge fund managers, writing commentary on manager strategies, and preparing investment analysis and recommendations for the Firm's Investment Committee. In addition to research responsibilities, Antolin assisted in constructing hedge fund portfolios for implementation by institutional clients. Antolin served in various capacities, including Hedge Fund Portfolio Analyst and Portfolio Analyst, at NEPC beginning in September 2008. Prior to NEPC, he was employed by State Street Corporation as a Bank Loan Specialist in the Senior Loan Services Group. Antolin received a BBA in finance from the University of Texas, San Antonio.


Eric Dorflinger- Manager, Operational Due Diligence

Eric Dorflinger serves as the Manager of Operational Due Diligence at Altegris Advisors. Upon joining Altegris in 2011, Mr. Dorflinger functioned as the supervisor of Altegris’ private fund back office operations team, where he was responsible for fund accounting review, facilitation of fund administrator and auditor relationships, as well as managing the team’s execution of day-to-day operations. His most recent role was focused on external due diligence and portfolio analytics, where he was responsible for customizing and preparing data and written communications for the firm’s RIA and broker-dealer relationships, as well as for Altegris’ investment team. Prior to joining Altegris, Mr. Dorflinger held management positions in various startup companies, gaining hands-on multifaceted small business experience. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and received his MBA from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego.


Christine Ngo - Research Analyst

Christine Ngo serves as a Research Analyst at Altegris Advisors. Ms. Ngo joined Altegris in August 2009 as an Operations Specialist, where she supported the Private Client Group and maintained the commodity trading advisor database. In her current role, she is responsible for data related tracking for approved and prospective managers, operational due diligence, and quantitative support. She holds a BA in Communications and a minor in economics from the University of California, San Diego.


Eric Love- Research Analyst

Eric Love serves as a Research Analyst for Altegris Advisors. Mr. Love joined Altegris in November 2012 as a Managed Futures Specialist and later transferred to Fund Operations where he supported the Private Client Group and back office mutual fund operations. In his current role, he assists with external due diligence requests, operational due diligence, data integrity, and quantitative support. Prior to joining Altegris, he gained over four years of federal securities litigation experience, primarily as a Legal Assistant with Brower Piven in New York. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland and a MS in finance (financial engineering track) from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York.


Joe Colombo, CFA®- Analyst, Portfolio Strategy and Markets

Joe Colombo serves as an Investment Analyst focused on portfolio strategy and markets. Mr. Colombo joined Altegris in December 2015. In his current role, he assists with internal and external performance analytics, macroeconomic and company level research, data integrity, and quantitative analysis. Prior to joining Altegris, Mr. Colombo was an Analyst at Meketa Investment Group in Carlsbad, California. He holds a BS in finance from San Diego State University and is a CFA charterholder.


Lara Magnusen, CAIA- Portfolio Strategist and Portfolio Manager

With over 15 years of industry experience, Lara Magnusen serves as Portfolio Strategist and Portfolio Manager for Altegris Advisors and is a member of the Investment Committee. Lara has worked at Altegris since 2005, previously serving as the Director of Investment Products and Director of Research and Investments for Altegris Advisors. Lara was also previously Director of Manager Research for Cabezon Capital LLC, responsible for due diligence and development of emerging hedge fund managers. Additional experience includes her tenure at Helix Investment Partners, a fixed income oriented hedge fund, as well as several years as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Lara is also a board member for the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company, a non-profit that mentors and empowers youth in underserved and at-risk environments. Lara received a BA in economics with a minor in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley; an MBA from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego; and holds the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
